As a thank you, I share my top 3 tips on how to stay motivated to lose weight and workout (2018). As a woman, I always feel I need to connect with my motivation so I can sustain my healthy lifestyle. And what I always believe about health is it is a long-term solution, not a quick fix.
Here are my top 3 tips to help you stay motivated to lose weight, workout, and eat well:
Tip 1: Tap into your WHY
Your why is your emotional connection to your actions for working out, eating well/dieting, and losing weight. If you don’t have a good enough reason to want to work out, you are quickly going to lose steam.
Tip 2: Keep It Simple
I have heard so many women who are looking to lose weight tend to immediately dive into their healthy lifestyle, taking on too many changes in their workout or diet. When there is too much change, you tend to feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and will more likely give up quickly. So, make small changes – whether that be walking 30 minutes 3 times a week, or choosing to eat fruit instead of dessert.
Tip 3: Pair a dreadful activity with a fun one
Don’t torture yourself, lady! Seriously!
Losing weight and changing your lifestyle can be painful enough. So try to add fun activities to ones you don’t always look forward to doing. If you hate running, but need the cardio, why not add music to your runs? Or if you prefer to dance as cardio, do that! If you hate eating vegetables, why not add spices and get creative? Honestly, this has been a game-changer for my diet, and really helps me stay satisfied!
